PULTENEY BRIDGE (UK | Somerset | Bath | Historical)

Address: Bridge Street, BA2 4AT

This bridge, connecting the main city to Bathwick, was designed by Robert Adam and work was completed in 1773. It has shops along both sides of the bridge, one of just a handful in the world to still do so. There was discussion recently to pedestrianise the area and ban traffic, which did seem to have some merit, but the idea wasn’t progressed.

The bridge is freely accessible at any time.
