Situated in the central fire station this museum covers fire-fighting and civil defence in Singapore from the late nineteenth century onwards. There are some interesting exhibits such as the Merryweather Steam Fire Engine which is the first motorised fire engine in the country as well as more recent machines, a street fire alarm and various pumps with numerous exhibits for children to test out.

There is no admission charge and the museum is open from 10.00 until 17.00 on Tuesdays to Sundays and is closed on Mondays.
